Meet Our Team

Jessica, R.D.H.

Jessica Palmer is a Registered Dental Hygienist who was born in St. Augustine and grew up in Palm Coast. She graduated with honors from Daytona State College with a degree in Dental Hygiene in 2007. Right after graduation, Jessica joined our team here at Florida Family Dentistry. She is a patient-focused clinician, driven to provide a personalized experience along with the highest quality of care. Jessica aims to build relationships with her patients and educate them on the importance of their oral health.



Outside of the office, Jessica enjoys making memories with her husband Nathan and son Chase by riding bikes, going to the beach, playing soccer and watching movies.

Christine was born and raised in Staten Island, New York. She started her dental career in 1998 as a Dental Assistant and continued working as she completed her Bachelor of Science degree, which she received in 2004. In 2006, she completed dental hygiene school and has been practicing since.

Christine and her husband, Andrew, live in Palm Coast with their two children. They enjoy spending time traveling with family and friends as well as watching their children play sports.

Barbara was born and raised in New Jersey. She moved to Palm Coast in 1997. Before she became a Certified Registered Dental Hygienist, Barbara improved her early dental skills as a Dental Assistant. She has worked in Periodontics, Pediatrics, Orthodontics and General Dentists Offices. In 2005, she obtained her license in Dental Hygiene and has been working and living in Palm Coast.

Apart from work, Barbara enjoys reading, listening to music and bike riding. She also likes spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandkids.

Jessica, a Certified Registered Dental Hygienist, was born and raised in Flagler County. In 2017, she graduated the Dental Assisting program at Daytona State College; at which time she became a member of our family as an Expanded Function Dental Assistant. In 2019, she transitioned into working at the front desk as she went back to school to become a Dental Hygienist. In 2022, Jessica graduated with an Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from Daytona State College where she is certified in the Administration of Local Anesthesia.

When she isn't working, Jessica is spending time with family and friends. She enjoys riding her four-wheeler, going to the beach and various other outdoor activities.

Ambyr is a 2021 graduate of the University of Cincinnati, where she graduated with honors. She moved back to Florida shortly after graduation and has loved working at Florida Family Dentistry ever since.

She and her husband enjoy going to Universal Studios, hiking, surfing and spending time with their fur babies. She also enjoys music and art. When she isn't working she can be found doing yoga at the beach or spending the day outside.

Ashley, C.R.D.H.

Ashley was born in Germany where she worked as a dental assistant up until she moved to Florida in 2015 where she continued her education obtaining her  Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene as well as her Administration of Local Anesthesia. 

When not at work, Ashley enjoys going to the beach and spending time with her brother and her dog, Josie.  

Christina is our Office Manager. In 1986, while still in high school, she started her career here at Florida Family Dentistry and continued working while earning her associate's degree in Business Administration at Daytona State College. She is a longtime valuable member of our family.

Recently engaged, when she's not working she loves spending time with her fiance', family and friends. In her spare time, she also enjoys scrapbooking and cooking.

Sharon is our Patient Coordinator. She was born in Daytona Beach and raised in Flagler county. She graduated from Flagler Palm Coast High School and went on to study at Daytona State College. Sharon then acquired her Expanded Functions Dental Assisting and Dental Radiography certifications at the University of Florida.

In 1991, she started her career in dentistry by joining our team assisting Dr. Gregory Johnston. She was considered his “right hand” for over 30 years.  Once Dr. Gregory Johnston retired she began the role of Patient Coordinator where she enjoys meeting new patients and catching up with our patients she's known for many, if not all of the over 30 years she's been with Florida Family Dentistry.



When not at work, Sharon enjoys spending time with family and friends boating, paddleboarding and Jeep Club activities.

Bo has worked in the dental field for over 20 years. She began her dental career as a Certified Dental Assistant after attending Daytona State College.

She joined Florida Family Dentistry in 2010 as a Dental Assistant and continued working full-time while attending University of Central Florida at night to earn her bachelor's degree in Business Administration. After graduating UCF, she became our Insurance Coordinator. Bo also coordinates care to qualifying disabled veterans within the community with the Veteran's Administration.

Laura, moved to Palm Coast in 2001 from New York. She has been working in the dental field since 2001 and she joined our practice in 2012 as an Administrative Assistant.

Laura enjoys spending time with her family and friends and loves to travel.

Alicia

Fernanda, our hygiene assistant, was born in Elizabeth, NJ, but grew up in Portugal. She returned to New Jersey at the age of 12 and graduated from Elizabeth High School. Fernie speaks fluent English, Portuguese and Spanish.

She has been in the dental profession since 1984, when she received her associate's degree and worked in New Jersey as a Dental Assistant. After moving to Florida in 1988, she joined our team at Florida Family Dentistry. Fernanda received her Expanded Functions Certification at the University of Florida.

Fernanda has two children and apart from work, she enjoys spending time with family and loves watching movies, swimming, biking, and going to Disney.

Karen was born in Baltimore, MD. She moved to New Smyrna Beach with her family in 1985, where she attended New Smyrna Beach High School. A year after graduation, Karen started her career in the dental field as a Dental Assistant. 

In 1989, after working as an Orthodontic Dental Assistant, she joined our team at Florida Family Dentistry. She specializes in complete denture relines, partial denture relines, night guard fabrication and orthodontic retainer fabrication.

Karen and her husband, John, live here in Palm Coast. She has two children, Kaitlyn and Alec. When she is not working, she loves walking, bike riding, traveling, and working in her yard.

Jessica, a Florida Native was born in Jacksonville. She has been with our practice since 2013 and is a Dental Assistant to Dr. Travis Ray.

Jessica enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and child, playing with her dogs and hanging out with friends.

Amber was born and raised in Indiana and moved to Palm Coast from Kentucky in 2019. In 2005, she received her Dental Assisting certification in Georgia and is Dr. Selycette Hamner's assistant. She enjoys meeting and caring for our patients. .

Amber and her husband enjoy spending time and making memories with their five children. She also enjoys being outdoors, biking and going to the beach.

Christine - Dental Assistant to Dr. Jordan Johnston

Christine moved to Palm Coast from Westchester County, New York in December of 1999. She has been in the dental field since 1993 and received her Dental Assisting Expanded Functions and Dental Radiology Certifications from University of Florida.

In Christine's free time, she enjoys being outdoors,going to the beach, boating, fishing, camping and spending time with her three children.

Ginamarie was born and raised in Florida. She acquired her Dental Assisting Expanded Functions and Dental Radiography certifications in 2021 from the University of Florida. In 2019, she began her dental career by joining and serving in the Army Reserves.

She enjoys spending time with her family, her boyfriend and her Calico Cat, Jellybean. She also likes to spend time going to the gym and trying new restaurants.

Ashlyn - Dental Assistant to Dr. Jordan Johnston

Ashlyn studied at Daytona State College where she received her Associates Degree. After training with Florida Family Dentistry, she acquired her Expanded Functions and Dental Radiography Certifications from the University of Florida.

In her free time, Ashlyn enjoys spending time with her family, boyfriend and Mini Australian Shepherd. They love to be outdoors, boating, fishing and going to the beach.

Barbara - Dental Assistant to Dr. Jonathan Grimes

Barbara was born in New Jersey and moved to Palm Coast in 2014.

She joined our team in 2022 after receiving her Dental Assisting Expanded Functions and Dental Radiography certifications. She plans on continuing her dental career by going to hygiene school next.

She lives here in Palm Coast with her parents and younger brother.
